Dr. Levine uses the latest instruments and techniques to remove teeth as gently as possible and to preserve as much of the supporting bone as possible.
We never rush or are in a hurry. Dr. Levine will take his time and go through a sequence of instruments to methodically loosen teeth little by little and slowly tease them out.
A surgical dressing is placed in all the sockets to stop the bleeding. It is coated with medication to help reduce post-operative discomfort. This will eliminate the need for sutures, most of the time. We carefully review post-operative instructions and give you a written copy, as well as extra gauze to bite on, if in a rare circumstance bleeding does occur later. The written instructions also have Dr. Levine’s cell number in case you need to contact him after hours.
If necessary, a bone grafting material can be placed at the time of the extraction to help preserve the surrounding bone, especially if the area will have a dental implant in the future.
